Local democracy in action
Stanwick Parish Council is made up of residents who have put themselves forward for election (or occasionally co-option). They have put themselves forward because they want to improve our parish and they are prepared to make decisions for our community.
Parish Councils are statutory bodies, created and governed by acts of Parliament. They are not connected to the church or to the Parochial Church Council.
The Parish Council is made up of 7 councillors who are elected for a four year term.
Cllr George Konstantinidis was co-opted on 16th May 2019 to fill the vacancy created by Cllr Chinery's resignation.
